I’ve heard so many good things from my friends and read lots of good reviews about Ristorante Da Enzo. I knew for sure I would dine there but as it’s not in the vicinity I didn’t manage to go until now. Each time I visited that part of Switzerland I always ended up dining elsewhere so this time I made a reservation before I left Zurich. I highly recommend reserving in advance.
We climbed the cobblestone steps… each side adorned with plants and flowers. I needed time to take it all in. I didn’t expect a grotto to be this beautiful. Set in a garden with a cosy atmosphere… this is the place to impress your loved one. It’s very romantic.
Restaurant Da Enzo is family owned. It was opened in 1992 by Enzo and Josi Andreatta in Ponte Brolla, Ticino, the Italian part of Switzerland. The food is Mediterranean and there is an extensive wine list of excellent Italian and Ticinese wines. I like the idea that they serve ½ bottles of the good wines. It’s not always that I want 750ml. For me, one or two glasses will do just fine!
Here you will experience fine dining at its best…beautifully presented food, delicious and very friendly staff. Make sure your wallet is full as this restaurant is a bit pricey. The host went to all tables and greeted his guests, which I found very gracious. This was an enjoyable dining experience.
