Oman is on the Arabian Peninsular and is bordered by The United Arab Emirates, Saudia Arabia and Yemen. Oman is widely known for its rich heritage and welcoming Omani people. It has a broad-spectrum mountain range and sandy beaches.
Muscat, which is the capital was occupied by the Portuguese from 1515 to 1650.
If you intend to go to Muscat – a visit to the souq will be well worth it. Along the little alleyways, you can find Frankincense, myrrh and sandalwood which is used in the perfume industry. You can also find gold, jewellery, handcrafts, cashmere scarves and a lot more.
