First of all, you need to be aware that this material is not very forgiving so if you are conscious about any lumps and bumps – before buying into this trend, I suggest you invest in the right underwear especially if they are fitted styles. The right underwear can make a big difference to anything that’s too clingy.
The satin-finished trend look is very glamorous and feminine but that doesn’t mean we can’t wear it during the day! It all depends on how it’s paired. I love the idea of a slip dress worn over a tee, and with sneakers during the day – and come evening time, remove the tee and wear with barely-there sandals. Add some accessories of your choice. Beautifully designed jewelry such as a simple ring will definitely complete the look. Now you are ready for a date night or meeting up with friends.
It doesn’t need to be a complete satin outfit! I have worn this top with jeans and strappy heels. I absolutely love the look which I think is a pared-down glamorous and grown-up style.
No need to buy just black beige or white. We are spoilt for choice as the colours are amazing, so yes it’s going to be a very colourful summer. Who else bought something satin in a vibrant colour? Satin dresses, blouses, tops, and trousers are in every shop so I would be surprised if you haven’t already bought something in this material. When I first saw this top that I’m wearing in this post, I was attracted first by the colour and didn’t hesitate to order it. When it arrived it looked even better than on the website.
I love that the material has a little weight to it and with the tie bow is so pretty and feminine. It’s also very nice if the tie just hangs at the back or front. The top is loose fitting, so for this look, I knotted it at the back so it just stops at the waist. I had the skirt in my closet for a while but there are similar ones which I have linked below.
