First and foremost my visit to Australia was to see my very good friend which I did not see in a very long time. I kept promising although I was dreading the long flights which were not too bad after all. Well, I’m here now and have no regrets. It’s now my third time and I’m always impressed by the friendliness of the people and how helpful they are.
Fox & Hounds Country Inn is an authentic British pub in Wongawallan on the Gold Coast in Australia, owned by Pamela and Justin Hemer. When I walked into the premises, it’s as if I walked right into an English pub in the UK. The interior was taken from a pub in Kent, England and transported to Fox & Hounds – so everything is original.
Who else loves spotted dick and custard?
Here you will find good traditional English food such as weekend roasts, Yorkshire pudding, spotted dick ( a dessert ) and custard and lots more – prepared by a Welsh chef. Wish I took more photos of the food to show you guys, but I was too busy eating and drinking Guinness beer mixed with blackcurrant juice. New to me… and tasty! Yum!
This is a great spot to hang out. And if you decide to visit this part, check out Fox & Hounds ( here ) for lunch, dinner or drinks.
What I Wore
I bought this dress in the sale and wore it back home ( Switzerland ) paired with a jumper and boots. The back of the dress has a lovely opening. Sorry, I didn’t get a photo from the back. Although it’s hot here, it was perfect for that evening. It was windy on the day I went with friends to Hope Island – and the restaurant we ate at, had a cold draft going through it.
This dress can be worn for many different occasions and I will definitely get a lot of wear out of it. It’s easy to pack so it was a no-brainer when I brought it along on my trip.
Last two photos were taken in Switzerland.
