My skin is normal, a tendency towards dry. Dry, especially during the colder months. I’m blessed in a way that I don’t have too many problems with my skin, such as acne – and I seldom get break-outs. However, when I do get pimples, although they disappear rather quickly, I’m left with unsightly dark marks. During COVID-19 lockdown, I started getting a few spots for no inexplicable reason. And as I never squeeze pimples, I was surprised that I was left with such dark marks.
Caudalie vinoperfect correcting glycolic night cream
This works overnight to renew the skin. I added the correcting glycolic night cream to my skincare routine – applying it over the serum at nights. It’s just gone 9 weeks since I started using this night cream. I used it on its own for one month before I started with the serum. There was a slight improvement in the reduction of the dark marks, and my skin feels and looks more smooth.
Caudalie vinoperfect radiance serum complexion correcting for all skin types.
I don’t usually use serums, simply, because I’m not so into using many products at once on my skin – however, I have been using this serum for over a year, on and off. And when I had break-outs, especially lately, I decided to use it regularly. A few drops are enough and it spreads nicely on the skin.
Overall, my skin has improved and looks more healthy, radiant and even-toned, now that I’m using the serum and night cream together. I’m happy with the results and think that it just needs a little more time until the dark marks completely fade.
Sisley nutritive lip balm
This is one of the nicest lip balms I’ve used. It has a nice shine without that sticky feeling. When I’m not using lipstick – I like to line my lips with my favourite lip liner and use this product over it. However, I use it mostly at nights. It makes my lips feel so soft. This is definitely a keeper.
Caudalie vinosource moisturising sorbet for sensitive skin
This is the newest addition to my skincare routine – and I love how it feels on my skin. It is a gel-cream which has a lightweight consistency and absorbs nicely – leaving my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated. It’s a nice moisturiser, especially for sensitive skin. I love using the moisturising sorbet before I apply my foundation.
La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50+ ultra protection
I have been using this sunscreen for years and although I have tried a few others I always go back to this one. Being dark skin, I always avoid sun creams that leave a white residue. And this one is perfect. The texture is really nice and it spreads evenly without my skin feeling uncomfortable.
