Knitwear is one of the most versatile staples you can have in your wardrobe – especially the beginning of autumn when temperatures can fall or rise within a day or even hours. These photos were taken on one of those days that started out chilly and then the sun decided to show it’s face. I’m not complaining, mind you!
Lightweight knit fabric is perfect for transitioning from summer to autumn and can easily be layered under a blazer or trench coat if it is a little chilly – while heavier textured knits will keep you warm throughout the autumn/winter season.
I couldn’t resist buying this really cute cable-knit jumper from H&M. I think it’s very pretty with the flounce details and square neckline – and I love the short style which looks great with high waisted jeans such as the pair I’m wearing from Pinko, or trousers. The best thing is that it is stylish, partly recycled and affordable.
If you are still in summer mode and want to continue wearing your summer dresses or skirts just layer a jumper/sweater over it. I also love pairing a dress with an oversize jumper and chunky boots.
